Has the materialization of mankind diminished the thirst for knowledge?

YES. DERRRR.....!!!
Has the materialization of mankind diminished the thirst for knowledge?
No. We are seeking and gaining knowledge faster and more accurately than we ever have in the entire history of the human race. This should be obvious to you.
Has the materialization of mankind diminished the thirst for knowledge?
No because there comes a time in ones life that we seek further knowledge (doesn%26#039;t mean it will be this life time) it seems the more materialistic it has become the more I meet people who seek, when your ready your ready, around materials or not.
Reply:it depends, we have become so adept at finding information that it is almost impossible to truly have a secret these days. on the otherhand information and knowledge aren%26#039;t necessarily the same thing. another factor is that the advances in knowledge tend to be so highly specialized that the general public doesn%26#039;t realy care so doesn%26#039;t pay attention.
Reply:Not at all.

You might consider Maslow%26#039;s heirarchy of needs. Consider that someone who is starving or homeless might night have the same day to day concerns as someone who is living in a wealthy country with a variety of comforts who can afford to spend time on accumulating knowledge.

Basic survival needs do seem to take priority.

It is hard to be concerned about knowledge if you live in Iraq or the US right now -- and a few other countries.
Reply:Not for me. I%26#039;m constanly thirsty for knowledge! It%26#039;s such a tasty drink...
